PARAVAULTING

Para-vaulting is acrobatics on the horse back for people with health disabilities. The horse is walking on the circle to the left or right side and in the middle of the circle stands a lunger.

All thletes are devided into 2 main categories depends on the level of the handicap:

1. Physical disabilities

2. Intelectual disabilities

This sport is a competitive discipline. It is divided to compulsory test and free test. Compulsory of 5 exercises: mount on, basic seat, dove, kneeling, mill, dismount. Free style is without time limit and contents the 10 most difficulty exercises what athlete is able to perform.

Judge gives point from 0-10 and the best score win.

For paravaulting it is necessary specialized horses with vaulting or hipotherapy experience. They must go regulary and reliable. Horse is wearing blanket, foam and surcingles. 

In the Czech republic is about 10 clubs together with more than 60 competitors and is organized about 10 competition and Czech championship every year.
